Arrival Lounge
Definition: An arrival lounge is an airport lounge available to premium passengers after landing, offering showers, breakfast, ironing services, and workspace to help travellers freshen up before proceeding to their destination.
Arrival lounges address a common business traveller need: arriving early in the morning after an overnight flight and needing to transition directly to meetings. Instead of appearing dishevelled at a business meeting, travellers can shower, change, enjoy breakfast, and even have clothes pressed.
Airlines offering arrival lounges include: British Airways (London Heathrow), Qantas (Melbourne, Sydney), Etihad (Abu Dhabi), and Qatar Airways (Doha). The facilities typically include: showers, a full breakfast buffet, comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, and sometimes ironing or pressing services.
Arrival lounges are particularly valuable at major business hubs where travellers go directly from the airport to meetings. The 30–45 minutes spent freshening up in an arrival lounge can make the difference between arriving at a meeting looking exhausted or looking polished and professional.
