What we've learned booking Iberia
Iberia Business Plus is the transatlantic product that surprises people — a carrier that most travelers associate with the old Iberia (dated cabins, inconsistent service) has been quietly transformed into one of the best value propositions in premium transatlantic travel. The A350-900 Business Plus cabin features a reverse herringbone seat with direct aisle access, modern cabin finishes, and a catering program that takes Spanish food seriously: jamón ibérico, cava, regional cheeses, and wines sourced from Spanish vineyards. The real value of Iberia is the Madrid hub: Barajas T4S is one of the best airport terminals in Europe, and Iberia's onward network to Latin America (Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Lima, Bogotá, Mexico City) prices as through-tickets at a 15-20% markup over the transatlantic fare alone — meaning Business class from NYC to South America via Madrid is frequently cheaper than direct US-LatAm flights. Our consolidator rates on Iberia are consistently among the lowest transatlantic business class fares we sell, and the Oneworld partnership means BA and AA frequent flyers earn full miles and benefits.

Airline overview
Iberia A350 business class offers a modern product with Spanish flair. Madrid Barajas is the key connecting hub between Europe and Latin America, making Iberia ideal for multi-destination itineraries.
The business class experience
Iberia Businessplus features Lie-flat with direct aisle access (A350). Seat width is 22 inches and fully extended bed length is 78 inches — comfortable for passengers up to about 6'3" (190cm) to sleep fully flat. The seat layout on Iberia's long-haul widebody aircraft typically offers direct aisle access for every business class passenger, so you never have to climb over a seatmate.
In-flight entertainment is delivered via 17-inch touchscreen. Dining on Iberia: Spanish gastronomy, jamón ibérico, Rioja wines. Baggage allowance in business class: 2 × 32kg checked. All flights include amenity kits, premium bedding, and priority boarding/baggage handling.
Lounges and ground experience
At the home hub: Iberia Velázquez Premium Lounge (MAD). At other airports worldwide: oneworld partner lounges worldwide. Lounge access is included with your business class ticket — you show your boarding pass at the lounge entrance and receive food, drinks, WiFi, and dedicated workspaces until boarding time.
On the ground at departure, Iberia business class passengers get dedicated check-in counters, fast-track security lanes where available, and priority boarding. At arrival, baggage is tagged with priority labels and comes out first — typically saving 15-30 minutes versus economy on heavily-loaded flights.
What travelers say
“A350 product is excellent. Spanish cuisine — especially the jamón ibérico — is outstanding. Madrid hub offers unbeatable Latin America connections. Avios currency is versatile.”
