Cathay Pacific Business Class Review 2026 — Aria Suite on the B777-9
Cathay Pacific's new Aria Suite is redefining business class to Asia. We review the seat, The Pier lounge, and the overall Hong Kong hub experience.
The new Aria Suite: Cathay's answer to Qsuites
Cathay Pacific's Aria Suite represents a generational leap for the airline. The suite features a closing door, a 24-inch 4K entertainment screen, wireless charging, Bluetooth audio, and a fully flat 82-inch bed — one of the longest in any business class. The 1-2-1 configuration ensures direct aisle access for every passenger.
The Aria Suite is initially available on the new B777-9 aircraft, with retrofit planned for existing A350-1000s throughout 2026-2027. We rate the Aria Suite 9.6/10 — a serious contender for the world's best business class alongside Qsuites.
The Pier Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong
The Pier Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport is one of the most beautiful airport lounges in the world. Designed by Foster + Partners, the lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows, a noodle bar serving made-to-order dan dan noodles and wonton soup, shower suites, and a relaxation room with day beds. The Pier is located near Gate 65 and is accessible to all Cathay business class passengers.
For connecting passengers, Hong Kong International is an efficient hub with typical connection times of 75-120 minutes.
